In the early afternoon we went over to my friend Elicia's house where we celebrated her son's 5th. birthday party!
This was the first time that I have seen Elicia in about 8 years! It was so nice to get to see her and her family again! Aaron got to meet them for the first time, and he really liked them too!
Our kids were really shy around each other at first, but it didn't take very long before they were the best of friends!

Pretty soon it was time to go home, where Aaron went to sleep, and the kids and I got ready to go to my grandparents to celebrate Halloween. First, we just hung around the house waiting for dinner to cook.

Then we ate dinner!
Then it was time to put the costumes on!
Spider Man!
The kids have been asking to go trick or treating since the Sunday before Halloween, It has been a VERY LONG WEEK AT OUR HOUSE, and we were glad that Halloween finally arrived!
Princess Jasmine!

Spider Man ready to go get the candy!
All week long, Kyle has been telling everyone that he is the hero who is going to save Princess Jasmine! Then I caught them hugging in their costumes, and I just had to get a picture! :)
Kyle and Mackenzie went trick or treating in style! We lined a wagon with blankets, and they rode in it while Uncle David pulled them from house to house! David got to do all the work while Kimber just followed along behind him. :)
Eventually Kenzie decided to get comfortable, and she spent most of the night that way!
Mackenzie still didn't quite understand what was going on, but she did understand that if she held her princess bucket out to people she got candy! :) Kyle, on the other hand, was very aware of what was going on! He was very good about saying "trick or treat", and "Thank You Very Much!" As soon as he had finished saying these things, he would immediately look at David and say "can we go to the next house now?" He followed the save routine at every single house, except for one. We got to one house where the guy didn't get his door open fast enough for Kyle's liking, and he said "Do you have any candy?!"
Pretty soon it was time to go back to Grandma's and Grandpa's house, and the kids were VERY TIRED!

Then my mom helped me go through the candy to make sure it was all safe.
I wanted to get a picture of them both with their Halloween candy, but they were way too sleepy to cooperate!
They loved passing out the candy, so they sat at the front door with Kimber, and got to take turns passing it out!
