THE SAD STORY OF OUR CAR

Two nights ago Aaron was on his way home from work when the car started over heating.  Since he didn't want to get stranded on the Freeway, he got off and started taking surface streets.  It took him a while to get home, but he finally made it.  Since it was pretty late, we decided not to worry about it until the morning, and went to sleep.

Yesterday morning we headed over to my mom's house (at least the dang car made it that far) where we borrowed her truck and some money(Aaron hasn't been paid yet)  to get some things for the car.  My mom was also sweet enough to watch the kids while we went to the store.

We decided to pour the coolant into the car right there at my mom's house, and we quickly learned that it was just leaking right out of the car as fast as we poured it in.

The leak slowed down, so we headed home.

A few hours later, it was time for Aaron to go to work, so while he was getting ready, I made sure that he had plenty of water with him to pour into the car if needed.

A little while after heading off to work, Aaron called me and informed me that the car had over heated, and that he couldn't get the thing started.  Luckily he was in a Circle K parking lot, and some people helped him.  It took quite a while, and he was a little late to work, but he Finlay got it started, and made it there.

While Aaron was working, My mom and brother in law David headed over to try and fix the car.  As it turns out David is pretty sure that there is a leak in the top in the radiator which can not be fixed, so now we have to find a way to buy a new radiator.  So they left Aaron with some antifreeze, money to buy gallons of water, and instructions on how to get home the safest way with out causing more damage.

It took until a little after 1 AM, but Aaron got home in one piece!

Luckily I have an uncle who is an awesome mechanic.  Before we buy anything to fix the car we are going to have him look at it so that we know exactly what we have to buy.  If it is the radiator (which I'm sure it is)   he will be able to put in in for us, so the only problem is finding a way to buy one.  Unfortunately, since it is Christmas week, everyone is pretty busy these days, and so it looks like we are not going to have a car for a little while.

Luckily we have an amazing family, and we live close to many of them.  So we will be borrowing cars to get to where we need to go.  We may not be able to get everywhere that we wanted to on Christmas day, but we will do the best that we can!

As annoying as this little situation is, I am determined not to let it get me down!
