Since he has a pretty buisy schedule, and we knew that we probably wouldn't get the chance to see him, Kimber, Kyler, and I took it upon ourselves to decorate his front yard late last night so that he would see it when hi got home from work this morning.
It was about 300 degrees, and super humid, and we had both of my kids with us who were up way past their bedtimes, so they were a little on the cranky side, but it really was a lot of fun! :)
We also had a small gift for him which we were origionally going to leave by his front door, but there were some neighbor kids outside who kept riding their bikes by and watching us, so we were afraid that his gift might not still be there in the morning. So, we decided to take a drive over to his work to give it to him in person!
He just got moved to a new location, and it ended up being a little bit of a drive, but it was worth it to get the chance to wish him a happy birthday in person!
The kids were so excited to see Grandpa! He is one of their very favorite people, and they don't get the chance to see him very often. I think they loved him even more when he shared his birthday cookies with them! :)
