THE LATEST IN THE JOB HUNT

Aaron has been trying so hard to find a job! He has applied to so many jobs, and he spends hours on the phone every day trying to follow up with the companies that he has applied to. When he is lucky enough to actually be able to talk to the right person, he usually gets one of two responses. We are looking through applications, and if you meet out qualifications we will call you, or the position has been filled.

I feel so bad for him because he is calling these places each 2 and 3 times a week. It is just this stupid economy!

Trying to stay on the positive side of things, we have had a tiny bit of progress. There are a couple of retail stores that Aaron has talked to, and they have said that they will definitely keep him in mind when the time comes to fill the positions. The down side to this is that they are all only part time.

Today, Aaron checked on a store that he has been checking on regularly, and today they actually had a position open. They even allowed Aaron to set up his own interview time on line! This will be Aaron's first actual interview this time around. Unfortunately the first available time is not until April 9th. And the job is clear across the valley, near where his parents live. So if he were to get this job he would have to drive really far to get to and from work every day. This would be kind of a hard ship, but for right now, it we will take it if they offer it to him!

He is also looking into a job where he has to take a test first before he is able to apply. We are just waiting for the packet to come in the mail so that he can study and set up a time to take the test!

Well, I think that is pretty much it as far as the job hunting goes. I am trying not to have my blog be completely about our lack of work, but I will give everyone updates when they come!
